Turkmen exports to the UK increased by 400 percent

From April 2022 to March this year, exports from Turkmenistan to the UK increased by 400% and amounted to 15 million pounds, while the cost of goods sent is 10 million pounds (66.7%), the cost of services is 5 million pounds (33.3%). The increase was £12 million at current prices compared to the period April 2021-March 2022.

This is reported by newscentralasia.net, citing data from the British Department of Business and Trade.

At the same time, British exports to Turkmenistan amounted to 37 million pounds; in this case goods accounted for £15 million (40.5%), services accounted for £22 million (59.5%).

During the reporting period, the total trade turnover between the UK and Turkmenistan increased by 30% and amounted to 52 million pounds.

Goods exports from the UK to Turkmenistan are dominated by chemicals, general industrial equipment, aircraft, and electrical goods.

Goods imported by the UK from Turkmenistan are inorganic chemicals, mechanical power generators, general industrial equipment, metal ores and scrap, cleaning agents, the source said.
