On Monday, during the meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhametgeldi Ayazov with the rector of Yerevan State University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, was held a constructive exchange of views on cooperation in the field of science and education.
During the conversation, the parties touched upon the issues of popularization of the Turkmen language, literature and culture in Armenia. The YSU rector told the ambassador that in the new academic year, a series of lectures dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great son of the Turkmen people are planned to be held in the new academic year to widely promote the literary heritage of the Turkmen poet-philosopher Magtymguly.
In this context, the ambassador suggested inviting the teachers of Magtymguly Turkmen State University for lecturing and conducting classes at Yerevan State University.
The Armenian side also proposed to publish articles about Magtymguly Fragi in Armenian scientific journals and to hold an international conference dedicated to the work of the classical poet, reports the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
