The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the friendly people of the country on the occasion of the holiday celebrated today - the Day of Russia.
“It is gratifying to note the existing high level of Turkmen-Russian relations, which are constantly strengthening and developing in various areas, including political, trade, economic, social, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The unwavering commitment of Turkmenistan and Russia to the further expansion of interstate dialogue is in the interests of common well-being,” the message says.
The head of the supreme representative body of the people's power of Turkmenistan also congratulated the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, on the great state holiday - the Day of Russia.
“The existing high level of relations between our countries is highly appreciated in Turkmenistan. I am firmly convinced in the further progressive development and strengthening of the Turkmen-Russian cooperation for the benefit of our peoples,” the message emphasizes.
Taking this pleasant opportunity, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko sincere wishes of good health, happiness and success, and progress and prosperity to the friendly people of the Russian Federation.
Russia is one of the three most significant trading partners of Turkmenistan: in 2022, bilateral trade amounted to more than 1,6 billion USD.
