As Ali Geldyyev admitted, he prepared very seriously for this tournament. At the qualifying competitions in Ashgabat, he took 2nd place, which permitted him to get into the national team of Turkmenistan, which included the final stage of preparation for the current tournament in Tashkent.
- At these training camps, we prepared very seriously, and this helped us win an important victory today, - continued Ali Geldyyev. - I am very grateful to my first coach Babamurad Seyidovich Mamatrasulov and the mentors of the Turkmen team at the tournament - Mirali Shamilevich Gasanov and Yuri Vyacheslavovich Rogussky.
The first number of the youth team of Turkmenistan Suleyman Hudayberdyev has been playing tennis since the age of 6. He began to study with the coach Evgeny Molchanov. At present time, he is training at the 11th sports school of the Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Ashgabat with Gurbanberdi Gurbanberdiyev.

Another tennis player of the youth team of Turkmenistan (U-12) Nazargeldy Amangeldiyev started playing tennis at the age of 7 with Atlymurad Kurbanov. Then, until the age of 10, he trained with Gurbanberdi Gurbanberdiev. At present time, he is improving his skills at the Ashgabat Tennis Academy under Yuri Rogussky.
- I felt great excitement for the result and was very worried when, due to my mistake, the opponents equalized the score in the doubles game, - said Nazargeldy Amangeldiyev. - I really wanted to please my fans, who strongly supported us. Thank them. After today's game, I feel great joy from the victory and at the same time a great responsibility before tomorrow's decisive game for 2nd place with the team of Tajikistan.
Let us remind, Turkmenistan for the second time hosts the regional tournament held under the auspices of the International (ITF) and Asian (ATF) tennis federations. Four years ago, at the same championship of Central Asia in Ashgabat, the Turkmen teams of boys and girls took third place.
