Turkmen doctors assisted 473 women during humanitarian mission in Afghanistan

Turkmen doctors, who arrived on May 15 on a humanitarian mission in Afghanistan and worked in the maternity hospital of the village of Turgundi in Herat province during May, provided medical and advisory assistance to 473 women and 276 children.

In particular, out of the total number of accepted women, assistance was provided to 248 pregnant women, 225 patients with various gynecological diseases.

Of the 276 children admitted, assistance was provided to 43 newborns, 122 children under 1 year old, 73 children under 5 years old, 38 children under 14 years old.

Also, 156 patients underwent an ultrasound examination. In total, 12 children were born in Turgundi during the medical and advisory activities of Turkmen doctors.

Let us remind that the humanitarian mission of the three doctors was carried out in accordance with the Order of the President of Turkmenistan.

Turkmen doctors worked in Turgundi from May 15 to 31.
