Today, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan organized a tree planting campaign on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.
The event was held at the site of the diplomatic camp in Ashgabat, adjacent to the territory where the new administrative building of the Embassy of Azerbaijan is located. The territory was cleared by the Embassy, landscaped, fertilized land was brought here, an irrigation system was equipped.
In his welcoming address to the participants of the action, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan Gasan Zeynalov noted that in Turkmenistan, as well as in Azerbaijan, the bright memory of Heydar Aliyev is always honored. In connection with the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”, events are held here in the fields of culture, art, education, sports, and the environment, to which Heydar Aliyev himself paid special attention.
“I express my special gratitude to the government of Turkmenistan for the support provided to the Embassy by a series of events held in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the Year of Heydar Aliyev,” G. Zeynalov said.
Volunteer participants of the action planted one hundred oak seedlings today.
“Let the oaks planted today on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev become a symbol of the centuries-old, indestructible Azerbaijani-Turkmen brotherhood and friendship!” the diplomat concluded, thanking everyone who came to the rally.
We remind that 2023 was declared the Year of Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan. Most of Azerbaijan's reserves, parks and green spaces in cities are associated with the name of this outstanding statesman, since Heydar Aliyev has always paid great attention to the issue of environmental protection and landscaping of cities.
