Elmira Oveniyazova, the teacher of the Turkmen State Special Music School named after Danatar Ovezov, spoke about the importance of the comprehensive census of Turkmenistan's population and housing to the development of culture in the country, Centralasia.news writes.
As per the opinion of Oveniyazova, this event allowed to obtain unique and accurate information about the citizens of Turkmenistan and to identify the priority areas for further socio-economic development of the country.
The art historian expressed confidence that the updated statistical data will make it possible to analyze the population’s need for social infrastructure facilities, the relevance of the development and modernization of cultural facilities in the republic – clubs, libraries, theaters, music and educational centers.
The musicologist summarized that conducting a continuous census of the population and housing stock, organized by the Government of Turkmenistan using modern technologies and international principles, is aimed at transparency and reliability of its preliminary and final results.
