In its opening match of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) championship in Dushanbe, the women's national team of Turkmenistan drew with the team of Tajikistan - 1:1.

The Turkmen footballers responded to Munisa Mirzoeva's goal in the 8th minute of the match with Svetlana Pryannikova's accurate shot in the 66th.

In another match of the first round of the CAFA-2022 championship, the Iranian national team achieved a minimal victory over the team from Kyrgyzstan – 1:0.

The matches of the next, second round of the IAFA-2022 championship among women's national teams will be played on Monday, July 11.

The Central Asian Football Association Championship among women's national teams is held in a round-robin system in one round. The winning team will be determined by the highest number of points scored.
