A unique collection of painted wooden sarcophagi and the largest cache of bronze statues of ancient gods were found by Egyptian archaeologists.
During the excavations that were carried out at the cemetery in the Saqqara necropolis, a cache of one hundred and fifty bronze statues of various gods and goddesses, jewelry, a collection of ancient cosmetics, ritual accessories and papyrus with hieroglyphs were found. Scientists noted that all the statues were preserved in perfect condition.
As notes mir24, all found artifacts will be transferred to the new Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo for a permanent exhibition.
