The Turkmenistan national football team will hold a training camp in Thailand before the June matches of the qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup-2023.
23 players have been called up to the national team, reports the official website of the FFT.
The team will train in Thailand until May 31. A meeting between the national teams of Thailand and Turkmenistan is scheduled for May 27. The friendly match will be held at the “Sri Nakhon Lamduan” Stadium in Sisaket province in northeastern Thailand. The start is at 15:30 Ashgabat time.
Let us remind that the matches of the Asian Cup-2023 qualifiers will be held in a centralized format in one round – on June 8, 11 and 14 in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
Turkmenistan will start qualifying for the Asian Cup-2023 with a match against Malaysia. The game will be held on June 8. Three days later, on June 11 Turkmenistan will play with Bangladesh. And in the final round of the qualifying round, the Turkmenistan national team will meet with the team of Bahrain.
As the results of the qualifying round, 11 teams will advance to the finals of the Asian Cup-2023 – six group winners, and five teams that took second places with the best results.
