Turkmenistan will celebrate the World Health Day and the Turkmen Horse Day with various sports and cultural events, announced “Watan” news program of the Turkmen television in a report on the meeting of the Government of the country held today.
Let us remind you, that World Health Day is celebrated on April 7 and is included in the calendar of widely celebrated holidays in Turkmenistan. Mass bike rides and other sporting events and campaigns promoting a healthy lifestyle are traditionally timed to coincide with it. Among them: demonstration performances of athletes, competitions and friendly matches in various sports, competitions in national sports games, musical performances and much more. For holding these events almost all stadiums, sports and fitness complexes, open areas, and also gyms of educational institutions are involved.
The national holiday of the Turkmen horse is celebrated on the last Sunday of April. The holiday is traditionally timed to coincide with the meeting of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding, races and celebrations in the country’s equestrian complexes, and also summing up the results of the International Beauty Contest “The Most Beautiful Ahal-Teke Horse of the Year” and honoring the winners of the creative competition for the artistic embodiment of the beauty of Ahal-Teke horses in works of fine art and decorative and applied art, in publishing products, photographs and vidoes.
