13 gold, 17 silver and 23 bronze medals were won by students from 9 Turkmen universities, taking an online participation in the International Student Team Olympiad in Mathematics, organized by the University of Silesia in Katowice and the Upper Silesian Branch of the Polish Mathematical Society. This was reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Gold medals were won by children from six universities of the country: 4 of them from the Turkmen State University Mahtumkuli, 3 from the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, two each from the International University of Humanities and Development and the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, one each from Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seydi and Turkmen Agricultural Institute.
Another 10 students received honorable mentions based on the results of the mathematical review.
The annual competition in mathematics this year brought together over 300 university students and 50 student teams from around the world.
