Various aspects of Turkmen-Iranian cooperation in a number of topical areas were discussed today in the foreign Ministry at online talks with the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On the Turkmen side, representatives of the Ministry of health and medical industry, the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection, the State customs service, the State border service and other agencies took part in the talks.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on enhancing transport operations and ensuring security at checkpoints on the Turkmen-Iranian border, taking into account the epidemiological situation in the world.
In addition, the participants discussed cooperation in the field of transport and healthcare, construction of joint facilities in the context of practical implementation of agreements reached earlier between the heads of the two countries – Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Hassan Rouhani, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
