Geoservices is currently looking for experienced Mud Logger

Successful Position holders identify opportunities to improve service delivery, implement standard work, and manage risk during service delivery. This role monitors the well to provide timely and factual drilling and geological information to our customers; maintain sensors, data acquisition and gas analyzing equipment; and delivers high quality data to the customer at the wellsite.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Work in wellsite Units collecting, processing, logging and describing drilled cuttings samples
• Use various laboratory techniques to analyse samples
• Carry out equipment maintenance when necessary
• Take on the primary role for the well surveillance through constant monitoring of all critical drilling, geology and gas parameters
• Assist the wellsite geologist during coring operations
• Interpret geological and gas data and feed it back to the Customer to achieve drilled well goals
• A real-time data acquisition system
• Timely provide required reporting to the Customer
• Strictly follow all HSE rules of the Company and the Customer and achieve all HSE objectives
• Immediately report to the Supervisor and / or Customer any abnormal hazardous situations or substandard working conditions

Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum BSc in Geology, Geological Applied Sciences, Earth Sciences or Applied Sciences, Diploma degree in Oil and Gas or related.
• Good personnel skills, excellent in communication, highly self-motivated, competent
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Can work in a high-pressure, learns quickly and adapts to new problems and situations.
• Must be a team player, able to get along with individuals from other groups in the organization, and a good communicator.
• Good English written and verbal skills are essential.
• Must have minimum 2 years field experience
• Knowledge of Mud Logging equipment
• Ability to maintain high quality of service delivery at the wellsite, in terms of safety, quality and efficiency of operation.
• Ability to run required services, interact with clients and other related parties.
