Investment in Turkmenistan's economy by the end of 2024 amounted to over 12,1 billion USD, a 9% increase from the previous year. This was announced by Minister of Finance and Economy Mammetguly Astanagulov at the TIF 2025 Investment Forum.
"By the end of 2024, investment in our country's economy amounted to over 12,1 billion USD, a 9% increase compared to 2023," the minister said.
Astanagulov noted that foreign investment accounted for 11,6% of the total investment volume, an increase of 1,4% compared to 2023. In total, foreign investment amounted to almost 5 billion manat, an increase of 25%.
The minister emphasized that the current fiscal policy is contributing to positive investment dynamics. Taxation provides significant incentives for priority economic development areas, and the tax burden has remained virtually unchanged over the past 20 years.
The most priority areas for investment in Turkmenistan are the oil and gas industry, petrochemicals, energy, construction, and the industrial complex.
