On August 25, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation of Pakistani businessmen led by the former Minister of Health of Balochistan and now head of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry group, Mir Naveed Baloch.
In its presentation, the Turkmen side spoke about the foreign policy strategy of neutral Turkmenistan, the results of the 3rd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, and also emphasized the importance of the TAPI gas pipeline and TAP power transmission line projects for sustainable energy supply to Pakistan.
The parties discussed prospects for trade, economic and logistics cooperation, including cooperation between the ports of Turkmenbashy and Gwadar.
The Pakistani side expressed interest in expanding partnership in the areas of energy, transport and logistics and proposed using the potential of the Gwadar port.
