In 2025, Turkmenistan will attach particular importance to modernizing the system of bank cards and payment systems, strengthening their protection, improving the quality of service and further widespread introduction of advanced technical means.
This year, work will continue to create opportunities to use contactless information technology (NFC) and QR codes in payment transactions, according to a review of the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
It is also planned to take practical steps to remotely manage banking transactions through Internet-bank and Mobil-bank services, and to expand the possibilities for making bank payments via the Internet.
The range of work carried out by banks is aimed at successfully solving the tasks set before this structure by the President of Turkmenistan, including those related to increasing the potential of the national payment system, increasing the competitiveness of banks, ensuring sustainable economic growth, and providing modern services to citizens of the country and foreign guests, the source notes.
