Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for fuel and energy issues Batyr Amanov held an online meeting with the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid Al Falih, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The parties reviewed the directions for the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the working visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Summit of the Heads of State of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and Central Asia, as well as the signed agreements.

The Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced his appointment as head of the joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Saudi Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation on the Saudi side.

In this context, the need to intensify work related to holding the 7th meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission, a key tool for the development of bilateral relations, was noted.

The Saudi side announced the planned International Economic Forum in December this year in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and invited the Turkmen side to participate in it as an honored guest. It is also proposed to hold the 7th meeting of the intergovernmental commission after this forum. To discuss these issues, Saudi Arabia will send its delegation to Turkmenistan.
