At a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov reviewed the draft State Program for Ensuring Aviation Security of the Country's Civil Aviation, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan. The program was prepared in accordance with international treaties, the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Air Code of Turkmenistan.
Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammethan Chakyev reported on the current work in the field of aviation security. The President noted that the legal basis for civil aviation is being improved, and the material and technical base of national aviation is being strengthened. Having approved the draft program, the head of state instructed the head of the agency to begin its implementation.
The program is aimed at improving the level of flight safety and strengthening Turkmenistan’s position in the international aviation industry.
