On September 24, 2024, an international scientific and practical conference was held in Ankara, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey and the Eurasian Association of Economic Relations (EkoAvrasya). The event was timed to coincide with the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan and brought together representatives of the ministries and departments of Turkey, foreign diplomatic missions, socio-political organizations, the scientific community, the Turkmen diaspora, students and the media.
At the conference, participants familiarized themselves with the achievements of Turkmenistan over the years of independence, as well as with upcoming international events, including the International Forum in Ashgabat dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi. Particular attention was paid to the importance of the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, where priority tasks and a work plan for the coming year were identified.
The speakers also discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Turkish relations, emphasizing the centuries-old history of fraternal ties between the peoples of the two countries. A video about Turkmenistan’s achievements over the years of independence was shown during the event.
