A cultural event organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan was held in Brussels, where Turkmen designers demonstrated their collections that combined traditional elements of national culture with modern fashion trends. The event brought together fashion and art figures from Central Asian countries and the EU.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium Sapar Palvanov opened the meeting by emphasizing the importance of cultural diplomacy and the preservation of cultural heritage. “Culture has always been a neutral sphere that serves as a bridge between people. Cultural values are a universal language that everyone understands”, - the ambassador noted.

Particular attention was drawn to the works of Turkmen designers Shemshat Tachmammedova, Sheker Akiniyazova and Ogulbeg Berdimyradova, who came to Belgium within the framework of a cultural exchange program. Their collections demonstrated a harmonious combination of traditional Turkmen motifs and modern fashion trends.
The event ended with a tasting of traditional Turkmen pilaf, which the ambassador called a symbol of the common traditions of Central Asia.
