The World Youth Weightlifting Championships have kicked off in Leon, Spain. More than 350 athletes from 67 countries are taking part in the competition.
As reported by the International Weightlifting Federation, Anamjan Rustamova and Shahzadbek Matyakubov will defend the honor of Turkmenistan in this world championship.
18 years old Rustamova will compete in the 81 kg weight category tomorrow, September 25. 20 years old Matyakubov will take to the platform a day later, on September 26, in the 102 kg category.
