In Ankara, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) organized a chess tournament in honor of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
The tournament was held In the building of the Chess Museum of the Gökyay Foundation and brought together representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and their families, chess enthusiasts and media representatives.
As part of the event, an exhibition of works by Magtymguly Fragi was opened, as well as exhibits reflecting the rich cultural heritage, history and traditions of the Turkmen people, the website “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.
