A competition among professional florists entitled “Flowers – a song of beauty and peace” was held in Ashgabat.
As reported by IIC, the competition was timed to coincide with the approaching significant date - the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
The competition involved four teams, each represented by three experienced florists. The teams competed in the art of creating original flower arrangements and demonstrated the highest level of skill.
Florists presented the jury with homemade creations, namely national ornaments made from flowers such as marigolds, chrysanthemums, roses and others.
During the competition, professional craftswomen also created original bouquets and flower baskets, striking the jury with the sophistication of their shapes and the richness of their color palette. Each composition was unique, reflecting the individual approach of the contestants.
The organizers of the competition were the Central Council of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan, together with the Ashgabat city administration.
