Today, a ceremonial laying of the foundation of the new gas compressor station “Şatlyk-1” was held in the Mary velayat of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the
National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Acting Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan Molla Mohammad Hassan Akhund, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The “Şatlyk-1” project is an important step in the development of Turkmenistan's energy sector and is aimed at ensuring stable gas supplies to the region.
Earlier, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on August 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution on the construction of the “Şatlyk-1” gas compressor station.
According to the document, the State Concern “Turkmengaz” was permitted to conclude a contract with the Turkish company Çalik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. for the design, construction and equipping of the facility with the necessary equipment, as well as commissioning.
