A meeting was held in Ashgabat between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Deputy Minister of Investment for Investor Relations of Saudi Arabia, Badr Al-Badr. The key topic of the negotiations was the deepening of bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic and investment spheres, according to a press release from the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of interstate cooperation between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia. It was emphasized that mutual visits and summit meetings are the main factor in the consistent development of comprehensive relations between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to the work of the joint intergovernmental Turkmen-Saudi commission on trade and economic cooperation. Meredov and Al-Badr discussed the possibilities of strengthening bilateral trade and economic ties and prospects for their further development.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on issues of Turkmen-Saudi relations in the economic and investment spheres.
