The delegation of Turkmenistan led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, during a meeting with Japanese deputies in Tokyo, emphasized the important role of inter-parliamentary relations in expanding cooperation, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The minister noted the special importance of parliamentary diplomacy for Turkmenistan and the role of youth parliamentary cooperation in the development of bilateral relations.
To further discuss the interparliamentary agenda, the parties agreed to organize a visit of the Speaker of the Mejlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan to Tokyo and a return visit of Japanese parliamentarians to Ashgabat in the first half of 2024.
