Italian sports car manufacturer Lamborghini announced that production line workers will switch to a “four-day shift”. The company became the first automaker in the world to make such a decision after negotiations with trade unions, writes euro-pulse.ru.
Under the new schedule, workers working two shifts will alternate between a five-day week and a four-day week. As a result, their number of working days will be reduced by 22 per year.
For those who work three shifts, including night shifts, a five-day week will alternate with two four-day ones. Their working days will be reduced by 31 per year.
However, their wages will remain the same. In addition, the unions achieved an increase in bonuses.
