Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova accepted credentials from the new Ambassador of the Algerian People's Democratic Republic to Turkmenistan Amar Belani, writes TDH.
On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the head of the Turkmen parliament congratulated the ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan, wishing him great success in his responsible work in the name of deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and constructive interstate dialogue.
During the meeting, the ambassador was introduced to the key directions of the state strategy of Turkmenistan, the main goals of the ongoing large-scale reforms, and the successes achieved in various fields.
A separate topic of the conversation was the establishment of inter-parliamentary relations designed to help strengthen the bonds of friendship between Turkmenistan and the Algerian People's Democratic Republic.
Having stated the presence of solid potential for deepening bilateral relations, the head of the Mejlis and the plenipotentiary noted the importance of intensifying mutually beneficial cooperation both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations, primarily the United Nations.
