Today, in the assembly hall of the Museum of Fine Arts in Ashgabat, the results of the Lebap Handmade Exports project, unique in Turkmenistan, which started in April of this year, were summed up.

The project was carried out by USAID in collaboration with the EU Delegation in Ashgabat with the support of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO. 20 needlewomen from different regions of Lebap velayat were invited to participate in the project, who over the course of 6 months learned the basics of digital promotion of their products: they underwent various trainings, expert consultations, participated in exhibitions, and learned how to establish business cooperation.

The program was aimed at bringing participating artisans to the international level of online sales.

Ten finalists of the project took part in the competition and presented their achievements, ideas, and business projects to the jury.

During today's ceremony, to the sounds of fanfare, the winners of Lebap Handmade Exports were awarded valuable prizes.

Maysa Ovezova won first place and the main prize - a laptop. She demonstrated the highest sales result: in 5 months she sold 40 products for a total amount of 47 700 manats. In addition, she created on her own the online platform Hunarly for sales of local handicrafts.

Second place was awarded to Gulchekhra Achilova. She received a tablet as a gift.

Myahri Baltayeva was awarded third place and a prize in the form of a smartphone.

The prize - a gift coupon of 1000 manats from the Ynamdar marketplace - was awarded to Gulzada Nazarova for the best presentation.
