On September 1, 2023, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and the German delegation headed by the deputy of the German Bundestag Peter Bayer, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation. They noted the importance of contacts at the highest and high levels and expressed interest in further strengthening relations between the two countries.
In particular, the parties agreed to expand cooperation in such areas as healthcare, digitalization, agriculture and rational use of water resources. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan stressed the importance of intensifying trade and economic partnership by intensifying the work of the Joint Turkmen-German working group on economic cooperation and organizing business forums.
