The world's first methane-powered rocket was successfully launched from a cosmodrome in northwestern China, the Izvestiya newspaper writes.
The rocket entered the programmed orbit. Earlier, in 2022, a similar rocket was also launched, but it turned out to be unsuccessful, malfunctions in the second stage led to an accident.
The developer of the methane-powered rocket is LandSpace. The new rocket will be able to launch up to 4 tons of cargo into orbit.
