Participants of the international motor rally "Caravan of Friendship" visited Turkmenistan, the MIR 24 TV channel reports.
On April 27, participants of the sixth international motor rally "Caravan of Friendship" entered the territory of the Lebap velayat of Turkmenistan. At the Farap road checkpoint they were met by officials of the country, from where the rally headed towards Ashgabat. The group consists of 80 people. Among them are road specialists and creative people.
Having overcome the distance of 682 km, the participants of the Friendship Caravan stopped at the Archabil Hotel in Ashgabat. In the morning of the next day, the international scientific-practical conference "State, problems and development of roads in Turkmenistan" was held in the conference hall of the hotel.
As part of their stay in the country, the participants of the rally visited the sights of the Turkmen capital, as well as the Parthian fortresses of Nisa.
Iran will be the next state on the path of the Friendship Caravan.
The international motor rally started on April 24 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). The organizer of the international motor rally is the Intergovernmental Council of Road Workers. It is held with the support of the CIS Executive Committee, the ministries of transport of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Armenia. The total length of the rally will be about 4000 km. The rally will end on May 10, 2023 in Yerevan (Armenia).
