International complex of innovations and business school on high technologies will be created in Turkmenistan

An international innovation complex and a high-tech business school are planned to be created in Turkmenistan within the framework of the draft Action Plan for the development of international cooperation for 2023-2024, aimed at attracting high and innovative technologies to the economy of Turkmenistan. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov announced this at a government meeting on Friday.

In order to stimulate contacts with companies specializing in this area, the Foreign Minister also proposed holding an international business forum, as well as organizing a Technology Week together with the UNDP Office in Turkmenistan and the OSCE Center in Ashgabat.

After listening to the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that in the modern era, the wide and comprehensive introduction of high technologies and innovations is a key factor in the progressive development of the state and society.

Technological transformation based on advanced achievements and the practical application of the best world experience is an essential condition for progress, the formation of an innovative diversified economy, the optimal realization of its potential, and the improvement of the social sphere.

Speaking of this, the head of state instructed the vice-premier, head of the Foreign Ministry to continue systematic work in this direction, focusing on intensifying fruitful cooperation with foreign partners, including international organizations and specialized business structures, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports today.
