Spaniard Maria Branyas Morera became the world's oldest person

The title of the oldest resident of the Earth now belong to 115-years-old Spaniard Maria Branyas Morera, writes the “MIR 24” portal.

After a nun Lucile Randon, passed away at the age of 118, Maria Branyas became considered the oldest person living on the planet. She was born in 1907 on the territory of the USA in a family of immigrants from Spain. Soon after her family returned to Spain, where Branyas Maria has lived there ever since.

She lived through both the First ant the Second World Wars, she witnessed the Spanish Civil War, remembers most of the greatest political figures of the twentieth century. Maria has three children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She explains her longevity with good genetics, a calm and optimistic attitude to life and communication with nature. Maria Branyas Morera lives in a nursing home, tries to keep up with life – she runs her own blog on the social network.
