The metro will arrive at Istanbul International Airport in January 2023, reports TRT.
Next week, on January 22, a section of the high-speed metro line from the Kyagythane district to Istanbul Airport (IST) will start operating in Istanbul, said Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu.
Trains will also pass through the Eyup area. The minister specified that it would be possible to get to the airport from the Kyagythane station in 24 minutes, from the Gökturk station - in 12.
In October 2022, the M4 line was extended to Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW), that is, both Istanbul airports can be reached by metro.
Flights of “Turkmen Airlines”, as well as Turkish airlines, arrive at the Istanbul air hub from Turkmenistan.
“Turkmenistan” Airlines operates regular flights from Ashgabat to Istanbul five times a week. Turkish Airlines flies from Turkmenistan to Istanbul 6 times a week - flights are operated from Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi.
