In Turkmenistan, 67 gifted children were awarded the Gulbaba Prize

67 gifted children from all regions of Turkmenistan become laureates of the special Children's Prize named after Gulbaba. Its owners are the winners of intellectual and creative contests, subject Olympiads and sports competitions of national and international scale.

They were awarded special diplomas and valuable gifts, in a solemn atmosphere of the capital’s exhibition center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

“I really like to play chess because, as my teacher said, chess improves memory. In addition to my awards in chess, today I was lucky enough to receive this award. In the future I want to become an ambassador”, said Umyt Akyev, a student of the 31st secondary school of the Tejen etrap of the Ahal velayat.

This children’s creative competition, organizeв by the Central Council of the Mahtumkuli Youth Organization and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, has been held from 1991. The award is named after a talented boy Gulbaba, who played the dutar perfectly and sang songs of his own composition, having lived a short but bright life.
