In Russia, starting next year, it is planned to carry out the procedure of voluntary fingerprinting, regardless of place of residence, reported “MIR 24”, referring to information from the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

From January 1, it will be possible to undergo voluntary fingerprinting, leaving information about your fingerprints in the database, anywhere in the country, and not just at the place of registration and permanent residence. The data obtained in the future may help to find a lost person who has problems with memory or speech (elderly people, people after serious accidents with traumatic brain injuries or mental problems) and it will also facilitate the identification of unidentified bodies.

Obligatory fingerprinting in Russia is required for all labor migrants who come to the country to work. According to representatives of law enforcement agencies, this will significantly reduce the level of crime among migrants.
