Issues of preparation for the next 26th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Economic Cooperation Organization, scheduled for the end of this year, were discussed today via videoconference by Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and ECO Secretary General Khusrav Noziri.
As reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the upcoming meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of this Organization is aimed at continuing the implementation of initiatives and large-scale projects put forward at the summit of leaders of the ECO member states in Ashgabat in 2021.
Let us remind that important decisions were made at the summit for further close cooperation between the ECO countries. Among them is the final document - the Ashgabat Consensus for Action, which is designed to bring cooperation between the participating countries to a qualitatively new level. It is focused on building up interstate ties in the areas of trade, transport, energy, tourism and the fight against the pandemic.
