The UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan visited the Olympic Town in Ashgabat

The United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al-Hai Al Hameli visited the Olympic town in Ashgabat, where he met with the Head of the Cycling Federation of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldy Annaev. This is reported by the official Twitter-account of the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan.

Ahmed Al-Hai Al Hameli inspected the Ashgabat cycling track, where at that moment competitions in cycling races were held among athletes from different regions of Turkmenistan.

The indoor cycling track on the territory of the Olympic town was put into exploitation in March 2014. The cycling track has a standard length 250 meters and a width of 7.1 meters. For cycling track was chosen a quite expensive, but very durable and convenient for cycling material — Norwegian larch wood. Athletes can accelerate on these tracks to a speed of 70-80 km/h. The conditions provided here allow for international competitions and tournaments, including world championships. The spectator stands of the bike track are designed for 6 thousand seats.

The UAE Ambassador also visited the medical and rehabilitation center of the Olympic Town, where observed the equipment and modern methods, used to train Turkmen Sportsmen.

We should note that there are more than 30 different sports objects in the Olympic Town, including the Olympic Stadium for 45 thousand seats, the Paralympic center, the martial arts sports complex, an indoor athletics complex, a tennis court.
