The seminar was moderated by Aygul Kulnazarova, an international expert on human rights education, who, following the event, will provide recommendations for the introduction of human rights courses in undergraduate and graduate programs in Turkmenistan.

Participants also discussed the feasibility of introducing gender equality courses into new human rights education programs.

The introduction of new courses will contribute to the professional development of students on human rights issues, contributing to the implementation of the National Human Rights Action Plan for 2021-2025.

The seminar was organized within the framework of the UNDP project “Providing assistance in the implementation of the National Action Plan of Turkmenistan in the field of human rights for 2021-2025”, implemented jointly with the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan.

Let us remind that the National Human Rights Action Plan for 2021-2025 was adopted by the Government of the country in April 2021 and is aimed at strengthening the national system for ensuring and protecting human rights and freedoms in Turkmenistan, fulfilling the country's international obligations in this area, as well as expanding the humanitarian cooperation with international organizations.
