1. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Turkmenistan on a two-day official visit. At the Ashgabat International Airport, the honored guest was met by Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev. During the visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan, the opening of the “Tashkent” park in Ashgabat and the joint launch of a project for the construction of the Border Trade Center are planned.

2. A Press Pool of domestic media will be created under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov addressed the head of state with such a proposal during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an important area of activity of such a group is the wide coverage in foreign media of the domestic and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, the constructive initiatives of the country.

3. The first academic quarter has ended in the schools of Turkmenistan. The holidays started today and will last for a week. The new training period will resume on October 29.

4. Turkmenistan has announced the next competition among literary, cultural and art figures, amateur young singers and gifted children for the presidential award “Golden Age of Turkmens”. It is planned to sum up the results of the competition in September 2023, timed to coincide with the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of the Motherland.

5. After 10 years in Turkmenistan, a separate sports department, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, will again deal with the development of mass and big sports. The corresponding Decree on its creation on the basis of the abolished Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

6. The Google Developer Group Ashgabat community is accepting applications for participation in the developer festival - DevFest-2022. DevFest is a multi-topic tech conference hosted by Google developer groups around the world. Participation in DevFest-2022 is open to everyone who is interested in technical specialties - from students to professionals.

7. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan has published a production calendar for 2023. In accordance with the new schedule, in 2023 there will be 12 non-working holidays in Turkmenistan. Working time on the eve of these days is reduced by 1 hour in accordance with Article 61 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan.

8. A new international airport has opened in the Azerbaijani city of Zangilan, located in the southwest of the country. The opening ceremony was attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The capacity of the air harbor terminal is designed for 200 passengers per hour. The platform area is 60 thousand m². The airport's facilities are designed to serve eight aircraft at the same time.

9. British Prime Minister Liz Truss announced her resignation, she headed the British Cabinet on 6 September. “I admit that, given the situation, I cannot cope with the responsibilities of the mandate entrusted to me, to which I was elected by the Conservative Party. Therefore, I have contacted His Majesty the King to inform him that I am resigning”, she said.
