President Serdar Berdimuhamedov returned to Ashgabat today, having completed a two-day visit to Kazakhstan, the “Watan” news program of the Turkmen television reported.
We remind that on the eve, on the first day of the visit, the President of Turkmenistan took part in the meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of State and the first summit "Central Asia - Russia", which took place in Astana.
On the second day of his stay in Astana as part of his state visit to Kazakhstan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. As a result, a solid package of 14 documents was signed, which added to the legal framework of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. The Presidents of the two countries also adopted a Joint Statement, in which, noting the high level of cooperation achieved over the 30-year period after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, they confirmed the invariability of the course towards the comprehensive strengthening of Turkmen-Kazakh relations and bringing bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level interactions.
Upon completion of the program of the working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the President of Turkmenistan proceeded to the Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in Astana, where the State flags of the two countries were hoisted on flagpoles and the guard of honor was lined up.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev warmly greeted President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the air harbor.
Here, the heads of state warmly said goodbye to each other, expressing full satisfaction with the results of the talks and reaffirming the commitment of the two countries and peoples to relations of friendship, good neighborliness and full-scale cooperation.
Having completed his state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the head of Turkmenistan boarded the plane waiting for him, on which he left for his homeland.
After flying to Ashgabat, the presidential aircraft landed at the capital's International Airport, where President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was met by officials.
