The representative of the state customs of Turkmenistan participated in a master class on paperless trade in Seoul

A specialist of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan participated in a master class on cross-border paperless trade using new technologies, which was held in Seoul.

The event was jointly organized by the World Customs Organization and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific with the support of the customs service and the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea.

As reports the press service of the State Customs Office of Turkmenistan, during the master class, UN experts on paperless trade and transport in the Asia-Pacific region shared ways and methods to optimize cross-border trade processes.

In particular, a systematic method of business process analysis (BPA) was considered to identify problems and develop measures to improve the process.

Experts showed in practice how to conduct BPA at the organizational, sectoral, national or cross-border level to develop recommendations for optimizing trade processes, including the use of ICT.

Korean customs officers shared their experience in implementing a “Single Window” for cross-border paperless trade.

The Turkmen specialist, among the participants of the master class, visited customs posts, where he got acquainted with the practice of implementing the process of trade facilitation in Korea.
