Turkmenistan significantly intensifies cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, making a keynote address at a meeting of the State Council, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports today.
“We will continue cooperation with international financial institutions, particularly, we will gradually improve the mechanisms for attracting foreign investment in order to support entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized businesses, and finance domestic producers,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
The head of state also noted that special attention will be paid to financing a competitive, technological, resource- and energy-saving, environmentally friendly electronic and electrical industry.
