UNICEF in Turkmenistan completed the conduction of series of trainings for specialists on social work in the framework of Mutual working plan with the Ministry of labor and social protection of population in Turkmenistan.
As “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” publication reports, the trainings are aimed at the increase of qualifications of social work trainers, lectors, also practicing specialists in this sphere who in further will be engaged as tutors.
The training was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, specialists in social work, teachers of academic institutions who will teach disciplines under the program “Social Work”.
During the sessions, the participants reviewed the methods of teaching programs in this area. Together with the specialists of the international organization Partnership for Every Child, they discussed the use of case studies in teaching and practice, the features of mentoring in social work.
