On Thursday, matches of the third round of the championship of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) among women's national teams were played in Dushanbe, reports the official website of the FFT.
In the next round, the main contenders for the “gold” - the national teams of Uzbekistan and Iran won big victories. The team of Uzbekistan prevailed over Turkmenistan (6:0), and the players of Iran were stronger than the national team of Tajikistan (5:0).
The national teams of Uzbekistan and Iran, having scored six points each, share the leadership in the standings. A face-to-face meeting of the leaders of the group will be held on July 20. After three rounds, the national team of Turkmenistan with 2 points is in third position. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have 1 point each.
Matches of the penultimate, fourth round of the CAFA championship among women's national teams will be held on July 17. On this day, matches Iran - Turkmenistan (beginning - at 19:00) and Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan (beginning - at 22:00) will be held.
The CAFA-2022 Championship among women's teams is held in a round robin system in one round. The winning team will be determined by the highest number of points scored.
