1. In Turkmenistan on the occasion of Kurban Bayram July 9, 10, 11 are proclaimed as days off. Due to the fact that one of the holidays falls on Sunday, the presidential decree prescribes to postpone the day off from July 10, 2022 to July 12 – Tuesday.

2. The admission campaign to higher and secondary vocational educational institutions of Turkmenistan will begin on July 11 and continue until August 26 inclusive.

3. From July 8 to 10 prices for a large list of goods from the Halk market chain in Ashgabat will be reduced. The action is held in honor of the sacred holiday of Kurban Bayram for all Muslim believers. It is available to purchase sweets and confectionery, dairy products, canned food, sausages and much more at favorable prices for three days.

4. Starting from January 1, 2023, Turkmenistan will increase salaries, pensions, state benefits, scholarships for students and trainees by 10%. The relevant decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan at an expanded meeting of the Government. The minimum wage in the country is also set at 1,160 manats, which will be used to streamline monthly salaries.

8. The Armenian government has approved a project to erect the tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world, which is planned to be installed on Mount Atis. As per the idea of sculptor Armen Samvelyan, the height of the statue of Jesus will be 33 meters, which is equal to the number of years he lived. The total height of the sculpture together with the pedestal will be 77 meters. This will make it the tallest statue of Christ in the world.

9. In the opening match of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) championship in Dushanbe, the women's national team of Turkmenistan drew with the team of Tajikistan (1:1).
