Over the past year, the volume of goods turnover between Turkmenistan and Iran exceed 1 million tons and composed nearly 300 million USD, what is 79% more that the year before last, IRNA reports.
As per the Iranian customs data, Turkmenistan imports the following goods from the neighboring country:
- dairy products;
- garden crops and agriculture;
- vegetables, fruits and dried fruits;
- food products;
- fruit juices;
- candy and chocolate;
- building materials;
- minerals and detergents;
- hygiene products and decorative cosmetics,
- industrial oils;
- bitumen and chemicals, petroleum products and petrochemical products;
- all types of essential oils and floor coverings;
- ferrous metal products and industrial machinery;
- tableware, kitchen appliances;
- clothing, bags, shoes, paper, fabrics, yarn, accessories and electronics.
It should be noted that today evening, on June 14 an official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Islamic Republic of Iran will take place. In the framework of the meetings at the highest level, it is planned to sign a batch of documents on cooperation. Berdimuhamedov’s visit will last 2 days.
