Sportswear manufacturer adidas has filed a lawsuit against another sportswear brand Nike, with accusation of plagiarism. The German brand claims that the competitor violates their rights, including on the popular Nike Run Club and Training Club sports apps.

Also, adidas sues Nike of copying Adapt sneaker technology. They allegedly use the developments applied in the adidas_1 sneakers, released back in 2005.

Besides that, adidas also has complaints about the Nike SNKRS app, which according to adidas, the company “has been a leader in mobile technology for a long time” and “was the first company in the industry to comprehensively implement data analytics for athletes”.

According to the lawsuit, the German sportswear and accessories maker is seeking payment from its US competitor “in an amount sufficient to compensate” for patent infringements, “but not less than a reasonable royalty, together with interest and expenses”, reports daily.afisha.ru.
